Women (Only)

We understand many ladies prefer training on their own, so we have created a small Ladies-Only group. This does not mean however that ladies aren’t made welcome in our other classes, 40-50% of our members are women, many of which train in the mixed group lessons.

Muay Thai training is an outstandingly effective workout system for reducing calories and developing a shapely, well toned and younger looking body – not to mention keeping fit and feeling energised. There is little doubt that Muay Thai is an excellent and highly enjoyable way to improve aerobic and anaerobic fitness by working all the muscle groups and, thereby, helping to create an attractive body shape and muscle tone.

Whilst you are getting all the cardiovascular benefits, you will also learn techniques that will build your confidence and improve your ability to avoid - and deal with - physical confrontations. Unlike some martial arts that have evolved into ‘safe’ low-contact sports, Muay Thai training is an explosive, high impact training system – even if you do not engage in actual ring combat. For this reason, it is ideally suited towards female (and indeed, male) self protection. Although there are numerous techniques that can be learnt, the core Muay Thai moves are simple and when combined, become devastatingly effective at all ranges – which is essential for practical and reliable self protection.

At Chupasart you will train in a non-threatening (friendly) environment. You can choose between training in our ‘ladies only’ classes which are very popular or in our open classes where you can mix it up with the guys. We are here to guide you and give you all the help and support you need. Our members enjoy belonging to Chupasart because of our distinctly friendly atmosphere. We believe that besides serious training, we are also a place where people interact socially and have fun! At Chupasart, long lasting friendships are formed and many members have been with us for well over a decade.

Are there any limitations?

Strength, size, age, background and fitness level are all factors that can pose barrier – but only to the extent you allow them to hold you back. True champions see ‘weaknesses’ as challenges to grow and as opportunities to transform themselves into what they truly can be. Always try to seek to improve your fitness and improve your ability to defend yourself - whilst enjoying the experience of training in a fun and friendly atmosphere!
